Being an apprentice to three different appraisers, and needing to customize each to job to their liking is time consuming enough, but having Datamaster has cut down the amount of time I spend on each job by half. I notice myself getting more accomplished, with less error since I have the “Exception Report” to triple check myself.

Having my subject and comps auto populated by Datamaster is very fast and easy, and adding additional comparables after the fact is done simply as well. The learning curve is very slight, as I have taught the appraisers in the office how to use Datamaster with ease.

Before I had Datamaster, I had to fill in or pay someone to fill in all the public information on appraisal reports. Datamaster has saved me time, by doing this redundant work for me. It cross-references MLS data with County Records data and points out where they differ (i.e. sale price, sale date, financing, square footage, lot size etc.). It also will export into my report non-public information, or more reliable information such as view, utilities, style FEMA flood map information etc.

Datamaster really saves time when it comes to filling in the sales grid. It fills in all sales information, including prior sales, days on market, amount financed, and list price. The prior sale’s history is invaluable, because I know in a matter of seconds if I have a legitimate sale. The days on market number lets me know the MLS listing history of a comp, and if it’s marketing time is consistent with the days on market for the area I am appraising. I have checked Datamaster’s results with MLS and county records, and have been pleased to see that it is accurate and reliable.

I like the fact that Datamaster exports comp photos into my report. This gives me a good look at the comps and their original condition when they were on the market.

Whenever I have had a question or needed a tip for improving Datamaster performance, you or the staff at Datamaster have taken the time to make sure I am up and running.

All appraisers who want to minimize the redundant work, and increase their productivity should be using Datamaster.

DataMaster provides a valuable service whose time has come. With the ever increasing demands for faster turn times any product that can shave just five minutes of time off the preparation phase of the report is invaluable.

The data is reliable as it is drawn from the best two sources that I have locally and I love the fact that to a large degree the transferring data is dependent upon my preferences; a feature that is built into the program.

The program is simple to use requiring a minimum of training. The accuracy of the data that is transferred into my reports has lessened the number of those little frustrating errors that appraisers tend to find in looking at completed reports (calculating accurately, for example, the age of a sale or eliminating those embarrassing mistakes caused by the all to common 'fat finger' syndrome).

In short, DataMaster is easy to learn, relatively cheap and easy to update; what more can an appraiser ask for?
